Hi Jake. What this means is that the site is not down, only the current installation of Joomla is down (either for maintenance or damaged). Jake's Page are separate "HTML" pages and are not part of Joomla's articles or post. Therefore because the site is not damaged any separate HTML pages or any other separate software installations such as WordPress, Drupal etc. (that are not actual modules of Joomla) would not be affected. Actually it may be better to rephrase: What this means is that the site (which is powered by Joomla) is indeed down, but not the server. If Joomla is down due to maintenance or damaged then the site (Joomla) would not be available but files from the http://americanpoolcheckers.us servers including images, html documents etc. would be available from the server (If you have an address, saved links pointing to the files or access through the servers control panel.).

Jake's Page is not associated with Joomla because Jake's Page were not created in Joomla but are independent html pages that reside in a separate directory on the http://americanpoolcheckers.us servers. This is why you are still able to access Jake's Page. Actually any html documents, images etc. that were saved on the http://americanpoolcheckers.us servers are readily available (If you have an address, saved links pointing to the files or access through the servers control panel.).

An example of this would be:
http://americanpoolcheckers.us/apca/2006APCATourneyPhotos/index.htm

Also any other software installations that were installed on the sever (that were not actual modules of Joomla) would not be affected and therefore would also be accessible (If you have an address, saved links pointing to the files or access through the servers control panel.).

For example: If http://library.poolcheckers.com went down then http://library.poolcheckers.com/forum would also be down because it is a module (add-on) that is installed on http://library.poolcheckers.com. But http://poolcheckers.forumotion.com/ would not be affected because it is not a module but an independent installation.

Youngblood,

you are partially correct!!! http://americanpoolcheckers.us/Directory/Site%20Index.html is the original site. I used a wrapper module to bring posts from the old site to the joomla site. http://americanpoolcheckers.us/Directory/Site%20Index.html is not down and is intact. This is where Jake's Page located and can be found. I am in the process of rebuilding a new Joomla site using information from the old Joomla site and information from the original http://americanpoolcheckers.us/Directory/Site%20Index.html
